About that issue where the tag champs don't load: it's a bug that came out with 1.02 and involved sideplates for thoes title models that are designed to have different side plates for every superstar. It happens with title designs that have been introduced this year and also the WWE/Universal title design. To solve it just make sure the current champions have no side plates (doesn't matter if customized or not, or if they appear in your custom title or not, just remove side plates from those superstars). Thumbs up for denk to see.

You have to remove the custom plates in WWE 2K19 so that you can use custom titles. It’s not the titles them selves it’s the side plates the game can’t add new plates there’s a glitch.

Just a heads up in case rope breaks are causing you headaches, particularly in matches with a bunch of participants, you can turn off “Forced Rope Breaks” in the options menu (main not universe). This means a superstar has to use the rope break ability to invoke a rope break. Being too close to the ropes won’t automatically trigger it. It helps make some matches a lot less unnecessarily drawn out.
