This has to be one of the most dominating performances in a major handball competition ever. They beat every country by at least 5, including 6th place by 10, 3rd and 2nd place by 8. This wasn't even close.

That’s a bit of a stretch. I remember Denmarks male team beating Croatia by 13, the. Beating Hungary by 11. Then beating Spain, and winning the final over France.

Not even close to Denmarks male team in 2019, beating Norway in the group stages, Hungary, Egypt and Sweden in the middle round, destroying France by 8 goals in the semifinal before trashing Norway with 9 goals in the final.

As a Dane I knew Denmark would lose. Mentally they are just not as strong as the norwegians. The Danish women always become very very nervous when it comes to these decisive games and they are not mentally strong enough to handle the pressure. But besides that, Norway also has a couple of great players that Denmark doesn´t have. But as a Dane I think we can still be satisfied with a silver medal and it is certainly not a shame to lose against a better team. So congratulations to Norway.

Im danish and I cried I did know they would win but like this comeback is insane thats Why I Think maybe denmark with the men Will win em but niklas Landin and Hansen has gone to retire to it Will be a little harder but I hope they win

I am also Danish and think the Danish "experts" were ridiculous. I personally was sure Norway would win because they are both a stronger team and are also mentally stronger. So I just can´t understand why Danish "experts" believed so strongly that we could win this game. But of course maybe they just wanted to create hype about the game, in order to attract more viewers. I only watched half of the game, because I was sure Denmark would lose, so I didn´t really feel like watching the whole game, because I felt Denmark had no real chance....

Ugh, I really just can't stand Norway due to their extreme over-reliance on older players. Lunde, Herrem, both of the Solbergs, and Brattset Dale all need to retire from the national team to allow younger players to get their chance. Hergeirsson might be a successful coach on paper, but that success has come at a price of an entire generation of goalkeepers and left wings never getting their chance on the national team.

Well, Camilla Herrem just retired after the win and there are many young and up and coming players, especially Thale Rushfeld Deila - so everything looks like the Norwegians will just keep winning

That's how the French men's team built its success and is still successful, by making a generation of winners that can teach the new ones. And it works, even though Danemark is globally dominant.

Generational transition is always a painful process for any national team. If your team has players so good that they can win here and now, you ought to use them. The newer generations need to prove their place in the national team through victory when their time comes.
