Yugoslavia were disqualified and Denmark replaced their spot. Beforehand it's crazy to think that a team would win the tournament that didn't even qualify. That's the beauty of football. This was my first Euros i watched. At the time this was like Greece winning the Euros in 2004. Denmark beat a great Holland and Germany teams. A great story when they were not originally in the tournament.

Danmark is a huge team. It seems nothing and nobody can stop them. They are like well oiled machines and never cease to amaze us. Delaney, Braithwaite, Dolberg....uaaaa! Denmark is a huge favourite of the QF and not even Czechs can stop them. A humble coach, humble players yeah its the way to win this strange tournament. I exactly remember attending the match between Denmark with Yussuf Poulsen in Prague back in 2015 (U21) and was amazed by him too. For the first, its Schmeichel and not Smeichel, and second, Laudrup did not play the entre EURO’s because of bad relations with the coach and not beliving that Danmark could achieve anything, so bad for him. But i can stand with you on that Greece winning the EURO’s in 2004 was more impressive.

Шмейхель тогда чудеса творил в рамке! Каждый матч, начиная с Франции, я думал, что вот-вот датчан вышибут из Евро. В полуфинале уж почти не сомневался!.. Выиграли! А в финале тем более на немцев ставил (не спорил, а для себя). И тут Шмейхель - стена в раме, а в контратаках сыграли выше всяких похвал! БРАВО! И это при том, что команда узнала о своём участии в Евро-1992 в апреле (Югославию отстранили и заменили Данией срочно), а в июне предстояло играть. Вот и сыграли!

The unhappiness and misfortune of people living in Bosnia in 1992 was actually the starting point for the biggest joy in the history of Danish football. Yugoslavia was removed from Euro 1992 not because of the breakup, it was because of the shelling of Sarajevo(and probably the massacres in some other parts of Bosnia). If the Serbs had waited a few weeks more before starting the war in Bosnia, Yugoslavia would have played at Euro 1992, probably just with Serb and Montenegrin players.
