Dennis is a friend of my brothers and even if there wasn't an opportunity to name drop he'd be on my list of the most talented I've ever heard. Sean Rickman is another one of my top 5 - good friend of my own actually. Dennis is a household name even for non drummers. He is SICK!!!

Hey all thanks for the 7,000 views! Sorry about the 240 lol. One thing I like about this video is that the audio feed is a good blend. Dennis still has the chops, and although the young cats of Bruner/Pridgen as just as fast, I think Dennis has better taste. He knows when to just lay it down, like in the last Maceo Parker Big Band CD.

INSANE!!!! My interest in drumming is renewed...since middle school. But as I look at who's hot and marketed, it seems like we spend much time investing across the pond and in the past...no disrespect, but Dennis is a real jewel that is harvested in the USA...and he's still living. This is from the mid 90s...like 95 96...I remember seeing him do this tune at Guitar Center...he was doing a clinic tour and it was the same setup and kit. Amazing album...
