Yes, it’s important to give it all you’ve got to make it work, but if it’s not working (or if your the only one who’s trying), then get the divorce. ❤

I wish Dennis Quaid all the best. Infidelity is never an excuse even if the marriage is unhealthy. Either work on the marriage which I think is the best option or get out and then do your thing. I look forward to seeing Reagan hope it is a great success for all involved. President Reagan was a great Leader and I know Dennis will give all of himself to the role. He literally became Doc Holiday in Wyatt Earp movie with Kurt Russell. Excellent actor!

Dennis and Meg had trouble in their marriage because of his drugging and infidelity. He finally got himself off drugs just in time to find out that Meg was getting it on with Russell Crowe. That was Meg's way of saying she didn't want to be married to him anymore. Dennis overcame drug addiction and his third wife was much younger than Meg. They had twins by surrogacy and you would think he had learned his lesson by now not to have affairs but he still did and his third wife divorced him. I haven't heard anything about him in years but I'm sure he's chasing after younger women or even may be in a current relationship with one. If so, he'll probably screw up that relationship, too, because the man is a serial cheater. I think his best movie was the Jerry Lee Lewis biopic, "Great Balls of Fire." In my opinion, though, his bro Randy was a consistently better actor than Dennis.

That affair destroyed Meg Ryan’s career. But I never judged her, as I have no idea what was going on in their relationship. It took me two years to end my marriage. We were legally married on paper but the relationship had ended.

That wedding photo is not Meg Ryan! Also, you are leaving out the fact that Dennis had been having "an affair" long before Meg did anything. Dennis's mistress was his addiction. Anyone who uses will tell you that this will ruin a marriage faster than an actual affair. There is no way for a spouse to compete with alcohol or drugs. I am glad that he is now healthy and recovered, but look at the toll it has taken on him and all around him. This is the example that we can look at and take caution from - not - the glitz and glam of "Hollywood" but what it takes from you.

As a man who suffers from alcoholism I don't think you can understand what is really happening to the person. You can look at it as a moral weakness or a unwillingness to change. But the truth is that it's not you making decisions anymore, the drug is making the decisions. No matter if the world was ending the only thing you would want is just one more. Whether you believe me, or blame DQ, only real experience will convince you of the devastation it has on not only your life but the life of everyone it touches.🙏❤️
