Really happy for all the renovation of the North Beach area. Always liked staying at the old Sandy Shores. Which I think is a Raddison now. That lighthouse will be awesome.

@@dennis78382 yes that was Sandy Shores. Had a bar on 2nd. Floor each stool had a pair of binoculars to look out on the Bay👍👍👍

I think I remember you saying that before buddy. Very cool. I don't think I would want to stay at a hotel in North Beach nowadays but it could just be because I'm old and grumpy

They really are. There is a lighthouse in Port Aransas but you need a boat to get close to it

That is going to be a big lighthouse. I bet those places are going to be real expensive to rent. At least at the RV Park at night can go and enjoy the water and lights. Enjoyed the drive and thank you oh so much. Have a sweet dream kind of a night.

Wow that's going to be a lot bigger than I imagined when you first talked about it! I love the stonework on the lighthouse and in that neighborhood. It probably has a practical purpose of being durable in hurricanes, but more so it just looks great! I've never seen a lighthouse under construction before, so it's neat to see how they do the scaffolding for it. I wonder if that metal thing they were assembling on the ground is the structure for the staircase inside? I wish I had an RV because one of those waterfront sites would be awesome! Will keep that in mind should I ever get one. Thanks for going back to have a look around for us!

The entire development looks really interesting and from what I had read it's going to be a fully operational Lighthouse. It will also have a small chapel and a restaurant. There are images of the completed work on that link. I'm really looking forward to seeing that.
