The DNA of a small 2cm bone fragment found in the Denisova Cave in Russia revealed that the owner of the bone was a young girl. In addition, another bone fragment was known to be a girl born to a Neanderthal mother and a Denisovan father. These facts have been made possible through the DNA analysis of Doctor Svante Pääbo's research team, awarded the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. This video introduces the process of restoring Denisovans from bone fragments and the process of evolution and spread.

This video was so well done! It would be interesting hearing an explanation as to why certain populations do not exhibit Denisovan or Neandertal ancestry, especially when these archaics show such vast territorial ranges. Perhaps a video on the origin and dispersion of Neandertal genes may explain this absence of ancestry in certain ancient DNA samples.

Kind of a fun coincidence, in the Tibetan founding myth a monkey man marries a daimon woman shortly after the flood and then he has to invent agriculture to feed their kids. I wonder if this myth is at all related to Tibetans inheriting their altitude tolerance from Densivoans. Assuming the myth is based in truth and the monkey man references a Denisovan, it would have to have happened somewhen between ~20k-5k years ago (because agriculture). The flood could be referencing the 120m sea level rise from ~20k-8k BP, the meltwater pulses or just some flooding event in China or India. These time ranges overlap with the 40k-14k BP range of when Denisovans are thought to have last interbred with humans. From comparative mythology we know myths can survive that long and longer. So idk, it's just speculation, but their founding myth might be telling of the interbreeding between Densiovans and humans. There's also the monkey armies in Indian mythology, maybe that's based on Denisovans as well. It certainly is a fun thought experiment.

I believe that the Denisovan DNA in South-East-Asia and below contains traces of H. Erectus, so they may well have interbred with the last populations of H. Erectus before interbreeding with H. Denisovans are basically the "Asians" of the Deniander cluster. Neanderthals would be the "West Eurasians". Eventually humans from Africa colonized both and mixed with them in small amounts. @Waynesification
@Waynesification Жыл бұрын
@@jasonborn867 I didn't mention Denisovan. But good point Jason. Firstly, we don't know what genetic ability was lost from Noah until his descendants haplo group divergences, or modification at the time, leading to unexpected effects on the genome. For instance, was the genome more malleable and has now settled down? Are there unknown feedback mechanisms at the time? This makes things difficult. Secondly, wherever there was a variation in Y between the three males or not at the time, the divergence could have started later. Were they all the root haplo group at the time? Side stepping some common environmental effect producing a common change across a group (again, no known mechanism now or then) then differentiation could have started after seperation into central and southern Africa. It maybe that the root line is from Noah, and the African part was somewhat resistant to divergence in the Y chromosome. This is not as mad as it sounds. Melanin is a very powerful protective anti oxidant, appearing in different parts of the body, which would have a knock on effect. Having considered the above possibilities, there are two distinct options. One, that denisovan are a sub Branch that didn't make it into sub Saharan Africa in any amount to that changed things. It records what is reported to be Noah's daughter in law complaining about God destroying the world in an ancient text. After, there is a rebellion and the demonic cult is brought back in. It's a possibility that his daughter in law is descended from Nephilim, which might explain the Neanderthals and Denisovans, etc etc. However, Ham has many children, and we would expect them all to carry these genes. However, it could be that each received differently, or he had children by other wives. It also mentions his sons, but not his wife's other possible children not from Ham. Things were very loose and the ancestral line is convoluted here. She could have had children with other descendants of Noah, spreading the DNA across lines. Demonic offspring varies widely and we're monstrous. It is likely that their essence could have bound widely to human DNA and varied a lot, and carried over for a number of generations afterwards. The second option is based on reports of historical references to hybrid breeding programs which would like be with demons and nephilim again, and not just humans. There were splits between groups and wars recorded. One of these major splits was at this time. Denisovan and Neanderthals, and others, could have come out of the breeding program separately from the African move which has its own DNA variances not shared outside of Africa.

@@Waynesification I really appreciated the lengthy reply, and likely will have additional questions, but for starters... all manner of outcomes are possible if unverifiable variables are introduced, such as for example nephilim and demons, for which presently there is no scientific basis. Starting without an agreed upon foundation means consensus is difficult to achieve, but please allow me to pose the following question. If you research biological principles such as minimum viable population, effective population size, and the 50/500 rule they all ascribe a threshold to breeding potential. In the case of Noah's Ark, there are three sons all whom share similar genetics, and three wives. The Ark story suggests every human population descended from these six individuals, yet biology clearly states such a small founding population lacks the genetic diversity required to sustain a long term viable population. For example, if a human colony were established on a distant planet with only one trip possible how many males and females are needed to sustain an indefinite population? If the number you estimate is larger than the biblical three breeding males and three breeding females why are less individuals required in the biblical scenario, and more required in present day?
