4 years later, people are finally seeing what I've been saying. The Go has been my ceremony and cocktail Go to. And the fact that it's a fully capable backup is a plus. You can literally just sit it on top of your setup, plug in audio connections and keep going! Doesn't get any better.

I used it Friday and Saturday for ceremonies and everything worked great, the bluetooth out function was great. This is going to be my new ceremony rig for sure. Ordered a carrying case today. Great review Nick.

With the Bluetooth out at ceremonies, is there much of a delay? While a delay isn’t a big deal with the music, it would be distracting with the mic’s. I was thinking of using Bluetooth with the music but I also have a set of Everse 8s and that powers my wireless mic. I think that is how I will do the ceremony set up.

I got the original one when it came out. It was a solid device. Sold it to get the SC6000s. Engine DJ has tons of options. I definitely recommend Prime Go for anyone who needs something mobile. Full of features and built like a tank.

Good content man. Massive fan of the Prime Go. I was actually shocked that this is the upgrade they decided on, and I feel like it was a rushed response to the Omnis Duo to get attention back "here's OUR 2024 controller!" If they just made it a couple inches larger to include bigger / more stylish jog wheels and an entirely new processor with an M.2 NVME hard drive... I'd have upgraded and paid a little extra for it.

I use mine for every ceremony and when the cocktail hour is in the same area. I have everything on a SD card. That’s been the easiest way to transfer music back-and-forth for me

I've had the OG GO since its release. It's a fantastic standalone and have used it for countless ceremonies and always have with me as a backup with an SD card. There are two downsides to this controller The MICs (No EQ) - you don't have much control over them and Denon users have been wanting this for years now. We thought with this release we would get it, but... nope. The other is BT out. I would not recommend mixing. Playing straight out or loading a playlist works fine, but mixing with my Everse 8 right next to me, it was a half a beat behind. I'm not planning on using that feature on my GO or my Prime4 +. I still highly recommend this controller.

always had an SD card slot. not recommended as the storage media is incredibly slow compared to a high-end USB for loading and analyzing FLAC files

Should’ve save the money on the difference. It’s the same thing as the go 😂. 4 years it been out and all you change is slip mode and add Amazon music. This is a hard pass for us who has the OG 1

@@donaldccannon1 If I had the original maybe not. I got it for $800.00 and used it Friday and Saturday night for ceremonies and it worked out great. The bluetooth out function worked great for the ceremony music.

Great video Nick. Thank you. I LOVE (& miss) the classic left / right CUE PLAY layout. It's too bad it's not the standard on all brands and controllers (Hello? Pioneer? 😵‍💫). Our fingers are side by side Duh. I'm not a scratch DJ so this controller works well for me. I assume the X Fader button +10:04 turns the cross fader on/off completely?

Great review Nick, and the BlueTooth functionality is the big thing for me. Does anyone know if you can isolate the BlueTooth left and right channels? There's definitely times where it would be great to run with separate left and right BlueTooth speakers in stereo rather than just a single summed mono one.

Its terrible to mix with. Had my Everse 8 right next to me and my Prime 4+ - Its a good 1/2 beat off - auto playlist or just start the next song its great.

I love the Mk1 i have. I don't think I will switch it up because it is just a back up / for fun controller. I have never used it for ceremonies because the ipad mini / Everse 8 / EW-DX set up i have is robust enough. Plus you can use the Djay in 4 channel mode if need be.

Not worth the upgrade if you have the original prime go, Things I would have consider...to upgrade 1- Better crossfader!!!!! One side starts bleeding out with time. 2-Mic EQ....... At least this can come on an update for now, we gotta buy an external mixer 3- tilt screen or tilt stand For better viewing angles 4- type C charger 2024 type C is the way to go to charge electronics Don't get me wrong I love my denon prime go, but for 1k and many years later i was expecting at least 1 or 2 of the mentioned upgrades😢 Save money buy inmofaders, external mixer, an a laptop stand like me😅

I've bought a Numark Mixstream Pro Go for backup my main equipement (Pioneer XDJ-RX2). The Mixstream is great too, better hardware and cheaper than Prime Go +.

You can compensate for “no tilt screen “ by placing it on a sturdy laptop stand. I have this controller too and this is what I do. In fact it looks more professional this way, in my opinion.

Ugly color, were is a 4 channel? Boring alien colors white green blue! Should be both battery & electrical connection charge. Boring jog wheels. No usb thumb drives ? Why i hate denon!
