@s0530221 One the 1700 and 1600 are traktor certified, yes. The 1600 is pretty much ready to go out of the box as far as DVS settings. It took us just a few minutes to set it all up.

I`ve got this lovely beast :) Believe me or not, the sound is incredible, at master, but also at mic. Also 10$ headphones sound as 500$ with this mixer. I don`t know how they did it. Outstanding qality!

Thanks for all of the Positive comments. I shoudn't have said fanboy, but hell, I'm one too. Yeah, the Pioneer's were handy. I STILL dont have any DN-S3700 in the shop because we sell them too fast!

@RICKREMAX You have one of the best problems. I'd love to have that setup. I have a behringer DDM4000 and a Denon SC-2000 midi controller with Traktor Scratch Pro. Ableton Suite 8 with APC40, Akai MPD18, and Komplete 7. I'm pretty new, and trying to figure out how to work with all of this software and midi mappings. All I can say is this is the most fun I ever had. Good luck, and do it for the fun of it!

That roll up and down effect is pretty much on the 700 only. You can use the controls to shop up a loop, but that up and down sound is Pio.

man i just got my new s3700's and this x1700 mixer. my old mixer is a numark something and a basic cd players. wow I feel dumb with so much technology. even after reading the instr. I feel more lost. thanx for a little help on this site. I'm gonna have to mess with my new toys and do major homework on it as well.

@DjxLSDxHardstyle That's a valid question. Even since the 1700 has launched we've found that sales on the DJM-800 have still outpaced it.

You can apply one of each of the 2 effects to different channels, but only 2 - where with the sound color, you can apply to all 4 at a time.

@deejaystyle1 Thanks for the comment. For some people the Axis9 might work out just fine. We have a lot of viewers and subscribers interested in high end equipment so we bring them these videos that are asked for over and over. There's just some things you cannot do on an inexpensive mixer and $200 cd players that can be achieved on a mixer with the creative possibilities like the 1700 and the matching 3700 cd decks. There are no knobs or buttons that do not have a MIDI function, but you should take a look at the DN-X1600 mixer. It has 4 infinite rotaries, and 4 momentary push buttons AND 4 banks to choose from.

It's a real shame Denon chose to lock four of the inputs to RIAA turntable only. There are no switches to change them to line as there are on the DN-X1500, so although there are 8 inputs, you only get to use four of them - unless you happen to have four turntables! Another thing they're removed compared to the X1500 is the sampler. High end mixer with two FX sections but no sampler?

I hear where you are coming from Subaru. For the money, the Behringer is full featured and we may start carrying them soon. However, build and sound quality, the Behringer couldn't keep up with this mixer. It's just not the same class. If it were, dont you think Behringer would be charging $1500 for the DDM4000? Again, great mixer for the price point though...

I guess You can run a full Traktor set up Controller / sound card / time code (using it as an Audio4 DJ for example) Am I right? I'm on the point of upgrading my djm909 for a 4 channel midi/mixer to run Traktor & my CDJ1000MK3. Do you think this would replace a DJM800 and a AudioDJ 4. And it looks more freindlier to use as a Midi controller ie the on off mode switch... What should I do ? I've been a Hard Core Pioneer Fan For Years...??

@DjBrianProductions Hey Brian. I have played through both my DJM-800 and the DN-X1700 mixers through my EAW Avalon system and to be honest - they are so close, it's not funny. They are both crystal clear, robust, and full sounding. Yes, the stock Flex Fader in the X1700 is better than the 800 (which will accept an Innofader !) but I think with either mixer, you are a winner!

AGI: How the heck did you guys map the MIDI to SSL? I have tried and tried with my X1700 and SSL does not show the item as a midi controller. My HC100S does, though. :-\ Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Hi, I'm getting bad distortion from all the line ins and USB. the Phono sound is fine. the booth out is fine with no distortion. I think something is happenning with the sound on the way out the master output as opposed to the actual line inputs. I Tried the Denon DJ forums , nothing. Can anyone help with this? Hi I have a real important question. What buttons/knobs are midi mappable on this device? Is it only the three equalizer knobs on each channel ie the only midi mappable functions it has are 12 rotary knobs or does it have buttons to map too? Having a couple mappable triggers would be a life saver!
