I use VirtualDJ, a DDJSR2 and a Dell G7 laptop. I updated my computer, now VDJ skips and glitches. My confidence has been broken, I've been banging my head against the wall trying to fix my once rock solid setup. I'm buying this and never, ever using a computer to DJ one of my events again.

Big time bro. That’s always been my anxiety; depending on macOS, Serato and controller firmware updates, making sure both are in sync and working. Another plus is my prime 4 can tolerate a lot of outside heat (non-direct sunlight) without issue. Can’t say the same for my MacBook Pro 15”. I was mixing outside in 105° temps.

Solid honest review DJ CLEVELAND TERRY. I went out and purchased this unit, I will say nice piece of equipment for being on the go and getting the ideas flowing. Price point a bit steep maybe $699.99 ? A few issues thus far still figuring out the unit, trying to figure out doing manual loop in start point and loop out end point, which would be great, and also for some the confusion of the whole record function which you can only record your actual performances, but not your mix performances from Tidal which is understandable but should really be mentioned by Denon. I live near the Catskills in New York state and having a battery is great I can wi-fi from my phone and this unit and let the ideas go. Again Great Review, On Point like a #2 pencil before an exam !

Sounds very interesting and something a mobile DJ definitely should take a hard look at. Battery operated, great for the ceremony area not in the same venue or in the same venue but further away then you anticipated. Also, you made a valid point about a backup system. If you are going to buy that laptop, get this instead. It really seems like a powerful tool for the mobile DJ. Great review. I was waiting on this one. Post Script: Denon is known for their quality products, hence the weight. Not too much plastic on their products. Peace!! Be well...be safe.

actually you can use it anywhere. me, i use for club and pub (yes i really do, cuz u know some pubs are not have there own dj system so sometime i have to bring mine), go out for picnic or trip, do wedding party and after party too, prepare playlist for venue,... i mean this basiclly is a pro gear, not entry level. standalone, built in wifi, baterry-powered,... so i can say, this is for every one and any situation.

nice review. tbh the selling point of this is its size rather than the battery. I've been taking my wego down the park and get as long as i want with battery packs. i want this to put in a small bag and dj in a bar. i really want the prime 4 but i don't want to carry it around, i would like the prime 4 to sit at home with my 1210's hooked up to it.

I like the flexibility... my concern is that will it have enough to let me get good on this and build my DJing skills? Awesome content BTW. Keep it up!
@P4boot4 жыл бұрын
My opinion: This is for a professional looking for ultimate portability. If you just want to learn basic mixing, this could be a good buy. But since the jogwheels are small, the pitch fader is short, you might find it challenging to learn advanced beatmatch and other skills. So bottom line is that you should go the laptop + controller route. I recommend the newest Hercules or numark mid-range controllers and any decent spec laptop. Good luck!
