3:33 - and thats black hole of having mcx8000. no info or no description why does it happens at website of denon. just wastin time. so you should know that some tracks of any unknown reason would be compatible to export to usb for mcx8000

Great Video. Just solved my issue with Mixed In Key not pushing Engery Levels, BPM and Queue to USB drive for Denon MCX 8000. The issue was fixed by turning on MCX Compaltailiy from OFF to ON! Silly of me.

Anton James Mix So far I've been able to play Engine songs from my USB without any problems. I installed the Prime software yesterday and am in process of prepping my songs there so I can have a beat grid, be able to use quantize, etc. Will see how it goes. The real test will be using my laptop in tandem and switching back and forth from standalone to pc as that's where I would usually have a freezing issue. I'll post again for you soon in the coming days.

Anton James Mix Still haven't tested fully but found a video where some bloke says reducing your 8000's screen brightness from 100% to 90% or less prevents the freezing problem with the older firmware. Maybe worth a try for you? kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKq2mmSDrrKCoMU

Anton James Mix So during my gig last night I had a problem with deck 3 and the platter was scanning the track like it was in needle mode instead of scratching like normal (I run VDJ 8). Fortunately the other decks weren't effected. After remembering what that KZbinr said I turned the screen brightness down from high to mid. To my amazement that actually fixed the problem and deck 3 was working properly again, so on that note the brightness adjustment works (yay) and they didn't address the issue with the firmware update (boo). As for using Prime, I put 310 tracks in the software and had them all analyzed, following all of the instructions in this video. When I clicked export I got the message saying that there were "310 unanalyzed tracks on the drive and they wouldn't be converted", which is bullshit because I just had them analyzed. I'm messing with it now and will let you know if I have any success. Might be my flash USB stick maybe?

There is an error in firmware version 2.1. BPM counter is not displayed after setting the CUE point in the song and re-entering the song of the same song, the BPM counter is no longer present. The same can be seen in your film. I reported the problem over 2 years ago and you didn't do anything about it.

USB has to be a fat32 download rufus to change your format on your usb

I had the same problem with the MCX8000, which also happened during a gig. That's why I changed to Pioneer.

Mine too, i think it´s a heating problem in the Case and because of the Display temprature. So i now test the lower display brightness. Hope they fixed it with the upadate!!!

i have my 8000 on the way and ive heard problems about usb only playback and engine playback etc. i want to know can i play songs off of a usb stick with out the songs being ran through engine software such as a concert and an artist gives me their music on their own usb so they can perform on the fly if in standalone mode? a prompt answer would most helpful

Yes, you can play audio files from usb sticks on the fly, but you will not have access to advanced information on the displays, like waveform, stored cue points, etc. In your case scenario you won't need this info anyway.

@@valentingheorghe1693 thanks for the reply. I got mine in yesterday and its freezing like crazy out of the box. Did all optimizations etc. Nothing works. So I'm returning it for ns7lll or pioneer. Had my DNs 3700s since hey came out and never ever had a problem with them so that's why I chose 8000 but looks like this problem has been going on since the 8000 came out. Should of did my research further about the bad parts of it. Glad that one is working for u though..

@@valentingheorghe1693 I'm using internal music files and yes the music is up to specs computer is up to specs. And the USB is supplied by denon in the box. Firmware updated etc. Tried all optimizations but no luck.

@@djtwilite318 If it's not Engine software fault it may be a hardware problem of that particular unit. You could try to get in touch with Denon support personnel and talk this over.

What is the point in creating a software to manage and prepare music files and not make an effort to make it compatible cross platforms? It would be very nice if Engine software would be compatible with Windows 7 also, as many people still use and will use Windows 7. At least make a version of Engine software that could be used by the user of Windows 7 also. Serato DJ software work on Windows 7, so why not Engine? It is stupid to buy a new operating system like Windows 8 or Windows 10 just to use Engine to prepare the music files. Basically the Engine software is just a file management software so it doesn't need large amount of resources to work on Windows 7.
