On November 16, Dr. Kizza Besigye, a prominent Ugandan opposition politician and former presidential candidate of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), was abducted in Nairobi, Kenya. He resurfaced on November 20 when he was brought to a military court in Kampala, Uganda, and charged with security-related offenses, including unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition. This incident has raised questions, and Parliament demanded an explanation, with a deadline set for today. However, it's still unclear whether the government will provide a response.
We hear from Eron Kiiza, lawyer and part of Besigye's legal team, Simon Mulongo, policy and security analyst, and Tolit Atiya, policy and security analyst, as we discuss the implications of this event and the broader impact on security in Uganda.

It doesn’t make sense to allege Besigye who landed in Kenya by flight and therefore had no pistol and then obtains one in Kenya knowing he can’t carry it of his flight back to Uganda. Was the pistol therefore for his personal protection only while in Kenya? This is outright bullshit. This phrase suits this situation “if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck” The duck being Bullshit. The good thing is God Almighty truly exists and the blood and tears of Ugandan freedom fighters hasn’t been shed in vain. The Bible says “vengeance is mine says the Lord, I will repay. “
