Densha de GO! 2 Kōsoku-hen (PS1)

Here is a quick gameplay video of 電車でGO！2 高速編 for the Playstation 1. I think that the PS1 version is superior to the PC port by Unbalance because of the cool opening video and the extra sound effects and vocal announcements. The only downer are the horrible graphics (It might just be the emulator). For that, I prefer the PC port's visuals.
Running on OS X Mavericks using OpenEmu.

+Crunchynote The Playstation company is Sony Computer Entertainment Inc, I thought was it not SCEJ?? Also the title music piano reminds me of Home Alone 3 the music in the scene where Alex sets up the traps (Home Again by Oingo Boingo).

For some reason the game atmosphere, environment, and sound creates a feeling of a horror game. PS1 textures also added to the 'creepiness' of the gameplay. It is something like a creepypasta 'lost' game that later reveal itself to be the hidden source of misfortune. But well it's still a good train simulator for PS1 at that time.

See now days it’s hard to play game this for just hours. But in 1998 this type of graphics in game is very huge. I see newer version of this game in ps4 and I addicted to graphics I mean it literally feels real but for a guy playing this type of graphics game in 1998 is very enjoyable.

After 5+ years of playing Densha de GO! series, the braking precsision some players achieve never ceases to amaze me. I can do quite good in DDG Final but DDG 1 & 2 still seem frustrating. Or maybe I'm just taking it too serious :)

In Final, the system won't be that harsh. But in the original games, that is where hell begins. Late by 1 second, minus points! Also I can do well in all the PS1 games. It takes practice, but once you master it, any route becomes a piece of cake.

The problem with 1 & 2 is the memorization. Final is a fantastic game but for me I love playing Nagoya Railway.

It's very surprising to see the traction the Densha de Go series is getting because of Nasubi's story. What happened to him is truly heartbreaking, the fact that this was the game of choice is honestly the most shocking part. I've been a fan of the game for many years but would have never thought it would have a dark past like that.
