Kirsten, could you please do a video on some tips for externship? Like how to make a good impression on the dentist/office you're trying to extern at, how to go above and beyond during it, maybe how to increase our chance of getting hired soon after? I'm starting dental assistant school in a few weeks and would love to hear your experience!

@@KirstenBerman okay and I'm glad because I talked to another woman who was a teacher and she said their was not much I can learn because it's all hands on. But until I actually apply for school, I wanted to prepare for it. So thank you again for these videos because I am going to study.

JayleePlans yes she’s right it is very hands on but to know terminology is so important! Doctors can tell the difference between someone who went to school and who didn’t so the textbook is a great tool!

Are your tests usually multiple-choice, or something different? I can give you some tips but I just need to know how your tests are formatted.

Angela everybody has different learning styles and for me if I read the chapter and made quizlet flash cards that was good enough for me. Some people have to actually write out the flash cards so it sticks in their brains and also writing in blue ink help you memorize the material better. One of my friends had to create powerpoints and act like she was teaching someone the material for it to stick in her brain.
