They always make the composite fillings a couple shades darker. they should be matched to the tips of his teeth. Dont be scared to ask for a shade lighter, If you plan on whitening, natural teeth can whiten over time. composite fillings yellow overtime. brushing, flossing, mouthwash isn't enough for our teeth to stay totally clean. Hence why you go to the dentist for cleanings. They scrape all tar tar off your teeth. The yellow tartar can be scraped off and so can the black tartar. I'd recommend you do or get regular scrapings.

I chipped my front tooth with a fork when I was 14. Its a small chip but none the less it bothers me. I had it filled in when it first chipped, but it fell off. I Thought they had done it wrong so I went again so that they could fix it. It fell off again and that is when I lost faith in modern dentist technolgy. Im now 18 going into 19 and have gone my whole highschool like this and sometimes this chip in my tooth keeps me depressed in bed.

MannyRomero mine fell off twice too.The dentist said if i decide to refill again it may fell off again Because the upper teeth bump into the lower teeth and that is when there is pressure and they break. especially if it has already been broken and you fill. I changed my appointment, I don't know if i will do it.

@@bryansapro3118 Just tell the dentist what the longest lasting restoration would be. Both my filling lasted 1 and 2 weeks.😆 Ive learned to live with this chipped tooth for 6 years now. I sure dont want to be like this for ever now.

I also forgot to mention that they had to remove enamal to add the composite material. They make it so the composite material sits at an angle. Not only was it a waste of 200$. It left my tooth still chipped and they removed more enamel. Oooooooo if i see that dentist again. 😂🤕☠

Just out of interest, did that actually stay on the tooth? Because I got something like this done about a month ago and the whole thing chipped off the very next day and I had to go back today. The dentist did the procedure again, now I have no idea if it will chip off again. It seems like you can't eat apples ever again after getting this done.

Mark Browne I got a tiny chipped part on my front tooth when I was a kid. I got it fixed days ago by dentist. Dentist doesn't recommend I eat anything hard like apple, corn, bone and shell types of foods etc as my repaired tooth is delicate and may break. Of course if it breaks I can always go back to get it fixed (but gotta pay $$$ again o.o). Now I feel is inconvenient to eat with my front teeth and I have to be mindful of certain foods I eat as I do not want it to chip off. But visually it looks better than before and looking at it, I wouldn't even know that that tiny part is not part of my real tooth lol...it looks very realistic ...I'm just so happy about it 😀
