Sir I just have one doubt except that I could easily understand the rest...what is meant by wear resistance sir??
@Aspire324 жыл бұрын
When upper and lower teeth grind, they loose some tooth structure. This is called as wear. Normally this is very less since since enamel is grinding against enamel. Both loose some structure equally. But now if u have composite on lower teeth and enamel on upper teeth, the composite is lost more and then the height become less in lower teeth area where composite is placed. If u place ghe ceramic crown then the enamel.will be be lost more. So basically composite has less wear resistance than enamel and ceramics has more than enamel. Material which has similar wear resistance to enamel will be ideal. U can see any old person teeth.. they teeth appear flat because it has worn

@Aspire323 жыл бұрын
If you have more surfaces bonding at the same time to a increment of composite then it means it has higher c factor. Its calculated as ratio between bonded to non bonded surfaces.
