Syncopy is something that happens with regularly in a dental office, great video but there is no need to activate EMS and also no need to place ambu bag in the patients mouth. Oxigen 100% and keeping airway open in trendelenburg position is all you need and also don't forget, you cannot let the patient drive home some one has to pick up the patient.

Overall a good video. Emphasis is on remaining calm, calling 911 (activates the chain of survival) and placing the pt supine. I take issue with the oxygen administration: they are using a pediatric BVM without bagging perhaps for blow-by (wrong device for the breathing adult) at 4-6 LPM (wrong flow rate for the device). Either use an adult BVM if they're apneic or a NRB/NC. Also a carotid pulse check (not radial) should be the first action after realizing he's unconscious. Good video. Be sure to keep up to speed by refreshing your Healthcare Provider BLS CPR cards!

I can explain your question from personal experience I always get numb up no matter if its for cleaning are filling etc my teeth are sentive and I prefer to get numb up its more easy for me so I don't have to feel any pain I can sometimes be fine without Being numb but most of the time its needed,, does that answer your question 🤗
