Hey Derek One thing to consider, which is quite common, is that many people have a great fear of Dentistry. So she may need some reassurance to overcome the fear. Ask her about that to ease her concern. Always enjoy watching you help others. 👍 👍

This is so true; many of us, including myself, have feared seeing a dentist. Now, I regularly see my dentist every 6 months. My husband has good insurance and free dental cleaning twice yearly, but I haven't done it in two decades because I'm scared of the dentist. Now that I am older, I have decided to take care of my teeth, I enjoy seeing my dentist every six months.

I think Edmarie has had such a tough life for a young girl. I feel so bad for her she is such a sweetheart. I think she will come along.. I hope so much she gets her dental work done. I think she is a very nice person and she probably feels real bad and I think other things are happening in her life and that's why she might have had to do something but I worry about her I hope somebody talks to her finds out how she's doing she's in my prayers. Thank you so much for helping her and the kind gentleman that donated. It just breaks my heart. I hope they'll give her another chance and I think she'll get her teeth fixed. I could just tell how happy she was when you told her that she really wants this done. She may never get an opportunity like this again I so much help that somebody reaches out to her. Great video! I think it is important to follow up with Edmarie and find her in case something is wrong with her..I also think it is important to allow Ai to talk more to these girls and allow the girls to feel more comfortable with her. Maybe the females aren't comfortable in conversation with males. I know Ai is there usually but keep Ai in the forefront and sometimes you take the back seat to things. I think it is great that your followers are willing to help and I think Jan in the lamb is an angel. Great video.

She could be afraid of the dentist, I went too Mexico and 2 days of HELL and now I'm not very welcoming of dentists but EdMarie needs to respond, you went out of your way to help her and she seems to be ungracious, providing she's getting the messages. Hope all works out well

Derek you have such a Good Heart along with sweet Ai as I hope EdMarie gets back in communication as time will tell as patience as things seem to take more time and this is a "Big Deal" emotionally as just for me i had some teeth problems and put off dealing with it for almost 2 years I understand they were irrational fears but some worry about the pain, suffering how will it look etc. which when i finally did do it things worked out beautifully. As others suggested maybe AI should take the lead as EdMarie might listen to her more. P.S. Safe Travels on trip to USA and enjoy as Jun and Jason will hold down the fort and Ai will keep them in line hehe.. Maybe you'll get content while there if even personal footage.

You can never know what the real story is sometimes. One crazy example I heard of was from a friend of mine. His wife from CDO was diagnosed with cancer, and it was terminal, but they fought it all the way to the end. He told me her parents wanted him to take all the money he was putting to his wife's treatments and care and send it to them because she was going to die anyway! Unbelievable, but it sure explained why he did not care for his in-laws. Perhaps EdMarie is in a situation that she is ashamed to explain to everyone.

I highly doubt it. EdMarie seem to be very independent in her family dynamics. She is putting in as a contributor to her family. I hope it's just one of those things that she went to take a small break, as she said, and just out of cell range

I don't know Edmarie I have seen her story in past videos. Sometimes parents get upset with kids and it can be a humble or safety situation. Think of it as you being a parent and a strange foreigner comes up to your daughter and says hey one of my viewers want to help you fix your teeth. It not only can be embarrassing but it can be a thought of the parent as what do I have to owe you or what does my child owe you. Filipinas are very humble.

These are some of the possible issues. 1. She has never been comfortable being on camera because of her teeth, but just felt pressured to agree with it. 2. She has been fed in the head that you are profiting from her. Calvin went through something similar with "Donna". 3. Crab mentality. Her friends have been pulling her down to their level. She appears to have very low S-E. 4. Fear of success. 5. Her boss. I doubt it is fear of dentistry work. AI should have a talk with her and invite her out to your house or to a restaurant for dinner BUT without the camera. I would also suggest not to film her anymore and just do a final video when she has a beautiful smile. My 2 cents, brother.

All good points. But I would eliminate 1 and 2. I don't insist on the camera when people say "no" or if I see their body language that indicates no. She understands from us that our video generates income and that's how we give back to the community. We also haven't seen her at work for a while and speculate she has resigned as she have previously said We have been sharing our youtube income with her about once a week in which she helps her parents pay some debts with and her parents know

People need to be prepared to help themselves if they are not then they don’t deserve to be helped, as there are a lot of people who will work hard to achieve they are the people too help that’s my observation of what is happening in the Philippines, why spend time and money

Sorry Albert but that made me sad as I pray Derek or myself Never get this Cynical as he is probably one of the Most Optimistic, Happy people you would ever meet as he is literally the same in person if not even More Better just as Ai is literally his better half (he knows i would be razing him) as I Believe in him so much as one of the Nicest Expat you could ever encounter. His intentions are Good and pure and sometimes things don't work out.. But just gotta keep the Sunny side up...
