I have partial coverage through my benifits. I still can't afford to go to a dentist. I haven't been in 5 years. Yet dental offices are on every corner.

The problem is the control of prices. Associations that suggest prices increase the cost for people.

Most cannot afford dental care because dental care isn’t sold similar to car insurance to the public. Think about what it costs to get a partial or full arch plus the necessary steps to get dentures made or cost per implant? This why people fly to other countries to get dental care or take it upon themselves to pull their own teeth or tooth out. They simply cannot afford the fees dentists charge running their private practices.

Ya know what would be good, is, an oxygen bar a health couch works at and the oxygen bar is owned by a respiralogist and take referrals from who ever would be the step down from a respiralogist. It would be similar to the optician, optometrist, Opthalmologist ladder.

Got a tooth rotting out of my head, waiting on it to get real bad so I can go to an ER with fake doctors so they can try to pretend to know how to deal with the issue. Located in NS, so we don't really have medical care here, kinda a crapshoot trying to find a doctor, even in a hospital. Kudos to this man.

You’re not a patient with a dentist, you’re a money bag. They all overcharge and tell you you need work that isn’t necessary so that they can live their luxury lifestyle.

A dental office has very high overhead expense and the labs charge dentists $500 to $700 for fabricating a crown. Dental material is very exoensive and dentists also need to pay for high lease cost of clinic, pay dental assistants, denal hygienists and receptionist. Also takes years to become a dentist in Canada if you actually can get accepted to dental school here which is as tough as med school. Foreign dentist also need to pass 5 exams and go through training programs just to pass the exams which can take up to 2 to 3 years minimum. So if dentists were not making good enough money then there would be less dentists similar to family physicians. Dont make a mistake, people dont become dentists for charity work and its a stressful job with a lot of physical risks like back and neck pain.

Most dentists will provide you with a treatment plan with multiple options. Whether you choose to proceed to do any procedure is up to you

@@irememberla6460 Thats true, and no treatment is always one of the options except for emergencies like infections, fractured tooth with pain etc.
