I read where the Johnston family insisted there would never be a headstone over Denver Pyle until his wife died. The fact that there's no headstone signals she is still alive.

Yeah I think the family decided not to have a headstone because they were afraid fans would come and chip off souvenirs and such. I guess the first thing I remember him from was Grizzly Adams, but boy he sure had a long career.

Learned much more about Denver Pyle doing this video. I did not know many of the other roles he played so that was interesting to know. I guess it makes sense about the head stone, a marker of some kind would be nice though, but that just me, the family can do whatvever they wish
