I have driven by #168 thousands of times in Colorado Springs. Tears of joy to see this beautiful restoration. Well done !!

Thank you for restoring this train in Colorado Springs, which was seen in the 1960s in Korea. Looking at this train, my heart runs back 50 years!!! I think I meet my friends there, talk about memories, and travel through time that connects the past and the future. I'm glad and glad to see this video!!! Thank you very much!!!

Is she pulling one of her original wooden Passenger cars that has been finished?
@jacobwoods87384 жыл бұрын
TexasRailfan21 Indeed. Coach 292 is part of the historic car project. 292, 256, Car F, a Baggage Car, plus RPO 54 or eventually 65 can be used (the Steel added to the frame will make it quite heavy though), and one day I suppose we might see the Friends’ Pullman Car but very rarely as it is very heavy.

Is this another recently restored steam which is owned and lives at ctrr?
@Tranz4mr15 жыл бұрын
Yes. The plan is to restore several 1880's cars to run an authentic 1880's train.

I don't think there is any possible way 168 can pull a regular size train like 463 was pulling without assistance.
@trainknut4 жыл бұрын
Even 463 usually needs help for the longer trains, they'll probably only end up running 168 with 2 or 3 cars mostly, occasionally doubleheading with 463 or 315 when it's around.

This engine designed to handle trains that are too light for the big Mikado engines she has small driving wheels for maximum tractive effort for climbing the often steep and winding track . So not very fast but powerful for its size
