I have seen Ms Plummer's first appearance at Skinner Park and throughout her Calypso career..am 72years and always found her to be a lady..in her attitude..her appearance and also all her calypsos were clean, respectful and nation building ..I am glad she found her God and may she Rest In Peace..she is a legend and would be greatly missed..🙏🌹

Looking and listening to this one day after your passing Denyse. It was truly an honour to know and experience your mastery. I’m so glad that you did like Shorty I you sang of and chose the Lord. Yuh safe on the inside! The eternal crown will be put on your head. 🙏🏾🥰

Baby J Baby J. IN MY DAYS OF CALYPSO WE DID NOT KNOW OF NO White people singing Calypso where all these White wash Calypsonians came from IN 30 and 40 Yrs going to Calypso Tents on Wrightson Road was only Black Artist so whete all these Fresh water Calayposians came and copy from the old Vets of Calypso .

It's a real big song that pays respect to the giants that came before her. It's hard to believe the receptions she used to get from the crowds when she made her debut. Thankfully, once people started listening to her and not just looking at the skin colour, she got proper respect. Plummer is a real testament to perseverance.

I remember growing up seeing her perform in Skinner Park and how people use to boo her and pelt toilet paper. I always thought she was and still is a very talented woman. This song and Nah Leaving absolutely love them. Well Ms Plummer, I have all your music, thank you for the music!

When I was introduced to Calypso Dennyse Plummer stood tall among The best of Caypsonians as a representative of what Kaiso is all about (at least to me). Not being a West Indian what is the issue here? Perhaps "Heroes" is a subtle jab at the collective misguided conscious of those who profess to love the "Art Form" without consideration for the contributions of all Calypsonians
