I was abused until I was 13, watched my cousin get murdered in front of me, lost all my D1 scholarships my senior year due to concussions got on drugs bought a bike and ended watching a close friend die in my hands. I have ptsd ,severe anxiety, severe depression and to top it up I got back in football.. I went to a juco in Cali , and partied instead of focusing.. I left there and came to a college close to home.. Long story short I was kicked out for drinking in my dorm from stress and mental pain . I felt like giving up for good and taking my life. But I realized we have a choice to overcome this pain. I'm deciding to reinvent myself and finish what I started and motivate people on my way to my dreams. I will be a light to someone who has felt so much pain like me. You can do it, you can be great.. God bless you

This speech and Jim Carrey’s speech on life(which I highly recommend if you haven’t seen it already) are the only things left in this world, asides from my beautiful Christian mother, that have given me hope to continue life. I was a complete atheist since about 15 (I just turned 20) and recently have been overwhelmed by the existence of god. What does it mean to put God first? There have been many gods that have been written about by men that know no more than me or you. What God do I put first and what does that even mean? Most gods I read about are not very humble... They vengeful and jealous. They manipulate and murder. Many stories I read, turn me away from religion because I want to put good into this world. I study religion, which is why o am now atheist. To me putting your best foot forward is what people are trying to mean by putting "God" first. Serial killers put God first. Good people take responsibility for their actions. Good people are considerate and empathize with others.
