She had been sick and had her oxygen tank there, but she was there. We took pics. Baby, this interview touched me for real. Grief is a B. I lost my best friends (my mom and brother) in 2020, four months apart from each other. All through the beginning of COVID with all the restrictions etc. My mom was in and out of assisted living and hospitals battling dementia and the complications thereof. My older brother was battling a rare disease, amblyodosis, in and out of hospitals. I was my moms main caregiver while also trying to keep an eye on my brother. Worst time of my life, yall. Im just now grasping it all with the help of God and a supportive husband. I feel EVERYTHING D says in this interview. Prayers for all those grieving loved ones.🙏🏽❤️

Powerful - the part about grief and friendship - happens way more often than not. Grief is an extremely difficult emotion to sit with and lots of people cannot do it. It’s sad but it’s true. 31:30 I understand everything Deon is talking about. When My mother passed, I'd start tearing up randomly, even at work. Thinking of the memories, all that she taught me. being 50 and all of my aunts and uncles are gone. Its a whole new generation of people and kids. "in the world alone" we aren't really, but thats how you feel when you lose a parent I feel bad about people leaving Deon. That didn't happen to me The idea of losing your parents is always there, but you must cherish them while you're here. Spend time. After a health scare, I realized how quickly she could be taken away. I'm so glad I spent the time going out to lunch and talking. I have no regrets. well thats not true, but none about spending

I totally felt Deon's point about loss. I lost my mom, then my Nana who raised me. There's no one left to be proud of you and that's hard.😢 My condolences to us all who are going through this.

everything he said about grieving & losing people is exactly what im going thru now. i just lost my mother almost 2 weeks ago & i lost my father almost 3 years ago & im seeing i had a lot of associates posed as friends cause folks ain't even check on me or come to my mother's funeral. i appreciate charlemagne acknowledging he sucks at being there for people in those moments & asked the question on how can he changed that. a lot of folks need to ask that question. it's heartbreaking when you realize you have no more parents, grandparents or blood aunts & uncles. just your siblings & a few cousins

Great interview!! Thanks Deon for being so vulnerable and speaking your truth about losing your Mom. I felt like you was talking to me. I am an only child too and lost both of my parents within the last 6 yrs. I still feel the same way as you described in this interview. As the old folks say, it will get better in the by and by. I am living a witness.

Fam Deion cole had me tears talking bout his mom and losing friendships. That was me two years ago. I had to let some friends go who just couldn’t see the new normal I was facing.

I hold him in high regard. As soon as he said "Welcome to the club" during his special bam it hit me 😪my mom died suddenly in 2020. My grief comes in waves and dealing with it and me can be difficult at times. I totally understand what he means about the lonely spots with family and friends. It is still hard to navigate to this day. But with God, prayer, and patience it will soon work its way out.
