I don’t know why this is a question. Earlier seasons clearly showed what happened to the MMPR powers along with ZEO and Turbo. MMPR ninja coins were destroyed, the Dino/Thunder coins were damaged and needed repair, the alien rangers were captured along the Gold Zeo ranger and the Blue centurion, and the Turbo powers were severely damaged. Sure Justin had his powers but that wouldn’t have been enough against a full invasion.

Zeo powers weren't destroyed Tommy Still had his crystal. Turbo powers were reactivated after in space After eltar was safe.. Jason Zack & trini still had doubles Of their power coins & morphers when they left I saw them intact. My theory the sword just made duplicate powers of the coins & Why Jason had his power coin in Forever red. His was not damaged or invovled.I think Trini kept hers after all these years too

@MiracleProductions-y5t damaged morphers were risky at best. Jason, Zack & Trini's powers were duplicated by the sword whereas Kim lost her powers. Zordon said ti Kim too much pink energy is dangerous. This really applies to too much of the same power access to the grid is dangerous the longer they are accessed at the same time. Like 2 MM Pink or Red. Adam did get his powers restored by Sentinel Knight in the OO series. Zeo wasnt destroyed the Rangers swapped to Turbo. In the comics, they say that Zeo is the most powerful & can take its toll on the ranger over a long period of time.

I would have loved to see all the Mighty Morphin Rangers, all the Zeo Rangers, and Justin the Blue Turbo Ranger return for Countdown To Destruction. Actually, it would have been cool if Andros had 4 of his friends from KO35 replace the 4 on his team as Space Rangers so they could appear in Countdown To Destruction with Justin as the Turbo Rangers.

I would love a mini series focusing on how the retired rangers were helping citizens during the In-Space final battle. It would be a great comic limited run series and sort of tie back into Billy restoring the ranger abilities in case of another invasion event (Forever Red).

If I had to guess, the earth rangers who passed on their duties were part of the civilian resistance, billy probably did the same on aquitar. The turtles did the same in New York. Not sure about masked rider and the beetle borgs

no matter how many of them are there i don't think they could have stopped what was happening on Earth, but they certainly would have been helpful. and as for killing Zordon, if they were put where Andros was, they definitely have a moral dilemna about doing such a thing like you said but Billy, Trini, or Jason would probably be the ones to make the call to go with it and unleash the Z-Wave. there could even be a moment in there about Billy putting his hand on the glass(?) and vowing to bring Zordon back. truthfully, though, at least in my eyes, it's better Zordon doesn't come back, because, ultimately, he doesn't have much that any other mentor doesn't have. and it could also lead to the Rangers who served under him realizing that they either don't need Zordon specifically, or just don't need a mentor anymore in general.

Cool video. 👍 that is an interesting topic. But I think in universe, they were trying to help without powers Maybe Billy was coordinating a galactic resistance effort from Aquitar. Maybe the other earth rangers were on their way to Angel Grove, but the crisis ended before that. Rangers still in Angel Grove, like Rocky or Adam were helping without powers. And Justin would have helped if he got there in time, since he had Blue turbo powers I am happy that the show gave us glimpses of the alien teams fighting villains, like Zeo Gold, Phantom, Blue Centurion and Alien Rangers.

This is actually a fun video! Someone should write a fan fiction on what the MMPR rangers were doing during the Countdown to destruction episode. I'd assume some were dealing with fallout in their area from the events of the episode, while some were fighting the United Allince of evil during the big battle, we just didn't see them.

There are already TONS of great fics out there where the former rangers help in Countdown. They have been out there for years. I recommend checking out "Power Rangers: Zero Hour" by dtm666 or "Power Rangers: Countdown" by Project314, if you guys are interested in reading them. They are some of the best ones, though there are plenty others.

I'd argue that most of the Rangers didn't actually have any powers. MMPR Powers were destroyed or didn't have access to them. Jason, Zack, and Trini transferred there powers completely using the Sword of Light. They wouldn't gain powers again until there were remade later, sometime before Forever Red or Legendary Battle. Tommy, Rocky, Adam, Aisha, Katherine, and Billy have there's destroyed. And while Adam did morph in In Space it was temporary. The Zeo Powers were supposed to be destroyed in the Turbo Movie and seeing how they aren't used again till Forever Red I think this is still the case. The Turbo Power were destroyed at the end of that season. However, Storm Blaster had a back up morpher, so Justin could have totally morphed again. Presumably, the same is true with Tommy and Lightning Cruiser and the Turbo Red Powers.

The Zeo powers were never destroyed in the Turbo movie though. They were replaced by the Turbo powers so Tommy, Adam, Rocky, Kat and Tanya could have helped once they got the Zeonizers out of storage

The Zeo Powers get stronger over time, so unless the Turbo Powers are considered stronger, it wouldn't make sense to stop using them. 2. Adam risks using a broken morpher in In Space instead of his Zeo Powers. 3. Turbo Blaster gave Justin his morpher to help the In Space Rangers and didn't think to grab the Zeo Rangers.

i know it was a gag because they didnt have the actors, but jason trini and zack were shown to still be morphed, so the way i see it their powers were duplicated, and as we saw in once and always, two people can access the power at once its just dangerous, so knowing Rocky Adam and Aisha would be using them, they most likely just stopped, and then never used them again til jason does in forever red... could also maybe explain why the gold power, both, worked for him (and not billy) cause still having the access to the grid made it stable enough to use, but also was fatal to him cause there's too much power in his body, with it being triforian power on top of everything

@@jeremymorris345 i hate to use real life and behind the scenes to explain storyline reasons things happen, but Adam uses the broken mmpr powers instead of the zeo power because the story called for a past black ranger to team up and mentor the current black ranger, morphing into green doesn't make sense, AND they needed carlos to see the risk Adam is willing to take to be a ranger and protect the earth.. and they cant use Zack because Carlos doesn't know him, being that he was Adams pick to become a power ranger in the first place, Adam is important to him..also as i mention in my other comment, im not sold that Zack didn't still have his powers... so the way I see it, Adam carries his original morpher on him for sentimental reasons, and just forgot his zeonizer at home ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think we have to remeber that the mighty Morphin powers were “destroyed” or at least we see from Adam’s guest appearance in In Space that using those original Morphers was dangerous. Obviously this problem is fixed at some point before Forever Red (probably by Billy?) but at this point in the timeline any rangers that didn’t go on to be Zeo rangers probably don’t have access to any powers.

The mmpr and turbo powers were destroyed except for Justin's. Zeo powers i always figured the zeo powers were returned to the cave of deception making it harder to use them. Because they were rarely used. Wild force. Once and and always Mega force. Adam used his damaged morpher that nearly killed him. Probably other mmpr powers would have affected other ranges the same. They act like the proxy coins are fairly new in once and always so maybe they were created around mega force so they could fight in the finale. I figured the rangers didn't know until it was over. Ninja Storm team didnt know power rangers existed so it makes sense that astronema attacked Angel Grove first. Not the rest of the planet. Ninja turtles in the space season thought power rangers weren't real either.

Probably could’ve been somehow assisted by NASADA, as it’s been hinted that the NASADA Commander had dealings with Zordon, and would’ve known about the Pre- Turbo/Space Rangers.

The reason the mighty morphin rangers didn’t appear in countdown to destruction was that the power had been destroyed by goldar in the alien ranger miniseries when David yost returned to the role of billy when billy was the only ranger to be restored to his original age that’s why it was so dangerous for Adam to use the broken morpher in the episode with his guest appearance in the in space season and the oldest fully functioning powers would have been the zeo powers due to the ranger just switching from the zeo powers to the turbo powers in the movie for unexplained reasons

Per the show Trini, Zack & Jason had access to their MM powers. Per the comics, they did not go to the peace conference as it was a cover story while they became the Omega Rangers before Jason comes back as Zeo Gold. Per the show, Kim lost her access to the MM powers. Per the comics, Kim had to use the sword (that referred the red, yellow, & black powers) in order to morph into MM Pink. The Zeo Rangers had to get rid of their Zeo powers. In the comics it was stated the Zeo ranger powers were extremely powerful & could not be use for the long term. The 1st Turbo team gave up their powers. Adam showed in In Space the MM morpher was damaged & could kill him

I don’t think the MMPR would have known Zordon would have been captured. I don’t think they would involved themselves in Power Rangers business while they’re living their own lives. But MMPR should have been there to fight in the battle. They could have had some scenes where Zordon sends out a message to all of them or andros goes and tracks down these individual rangers.

Look, the reason MMPR is and always been the best is simple. VALUES. It taught kids EVERYTHING thats important to be a good person. Yes, "In Space" was very good in the plot department, but it didnt NEARLY as much teach this many values. And honestly? Trying to explain "where they were" IN-FRANCHISE is pretty dumb. Its NOT LIKE they were written out for plot-reasons. They were fired, NOT "going to a peace-conference" because they dared to ask for more money after the Franchise blew up or, like "Trini" have actually died.

1st everyone saying the MMPR Powers are gone is not true ( It was a Power Outage ) 2nd it depends what the second Main team Tommy Meeting Haley, Rocky Martial Arts Studio Adam was still helping , Tanya with her parents, and Kat was and Justin. I think his dad new he was a Ranger because of Zordon . After Turbo I think Justin team up with his dad and other previousrangers to fix the Power Chamber and Although we saw Adam help in Space the broken morpher did work in and out with him saying Mastodon not the Black Ranger Power which I Call Black Frog. So the were at the time defending either a new Chamber or Building Cratson tech.

it's varry simple were they were . they were living their normal lives with no ranger powers. the dino powers had been destroyed as had the ninja powers. as we see in space the dino coins and morpher were damaged beyond the capabalility they currently had to repair them. the zeo powers were imoperable for reasons. and the turbo powers were for the most part lost with the destruction of the power chamber.ecludeing justins powers through is conection to hte storm blaster car, which would imply tomy might have been able to use the red turbo powers because of lightning cruiser. yess adam was liklly somwhear in angle grove as we see him in an earlier episode of inspace teaching karate. so the mmpr team would have only been marginly more efective than the normal non ranger citizens of angel grove. their powers and zords were gone,

The only ones who could restore ranger powers are the morphin masters they were busy dealing with all the forces of evil throughout the galaxy the MMPR team was retired by zeo so they wouldn't reassemble plus their connection to the morphing grid was destroyed however the green Morphin master reconnected the rangers to their powers she was behind all the teamups and the legendary battle she tracked down the former rangers she stepped into the void Zordon left behind which I believe signals she is somehow related to Zordon because of what she told the dino fury rangers and how she said it
