Departure runway 21 Eindhoven Airport as seen from the cockpit and pushback truck. (EIN EHEH).

This is an early morning departure from Eindhoven Airport towards Alicante. Join us in the cockpit during pushback and start-up. This time with the special thanks to Viggo handling and Geoffrey van Dijk (insta: @geoffreyvandijk) who provided me with the outside footage used in this film. With this extra footage you can clearly get an overall view of what is happening outside the aircraft as well as inside the aircraft.
Since we didn't use the interphone during ground operations prior to taxi... the sound might sound a bit different as you are used to. This is because I used the area recordings of one of my camera's. Normally I don't use this because it is of a lower quality, but to get the total picture I decided to use it this time.
The departure part is like other departures I've published. But all departures are different, so nice to see as well!

Great video I like the camera view from the back that allows you to see all the overhead switching action. I know what all the switches do, but maybe one day do the push back to take off with little bubbles with what the switch is doing as you go through it. i.e Eng Gen 1 On etc. Also please pass on our thanks to Transavia for being good sports and allowing us to see this happen, not all companies are so accomodating.

Great video again! Why do you almost always start engine 2 and then no. 1?

Normally we alway start number 2 & 1 in sequence. This is the normal start sequence as described. The reason might be because of the main entrances being on the lefthand side. But I'll see if I can find out. It is not written in our manuals why we do this sequence. The only time it changes... is when the APU is nog working and we need to start the engine with an external air source.. but the connection of the external air source and GPU are both on the righthand side, so it makes sense to start the number 1 engine first. After starting nr. 1 everything will be disconnected and later number 2 wil be started with air from nr.1 engine. (cross bleed start). Thanks!

That is the nose wheel. The wheel is turning and stopped turning against snubbers.

Allereerst bedankt! In het geval van deze vlucht niet. We begonnen op Eindhoven en via Alicante gingen we terug naar Amsterdam, daar waar we de ochtend begonnen. Soms doe je een vlucht van en naar Eindhoven. Dan kan je er voor kiezen om met de eigen auto te gaan. Is vaak wel praktischer... anders moet je eerst naar Amsterdam (in mijn geval) en dan met de taxi naar Eindhoven. Dan rij ik bijna 2 keer langs m'n huis. Soms heb je meerdere vluchten vanaf een buitenstation.. dus Rotterdam of Eindhoven. Dan kun je er voor kiezen in een hotel te blijven. Maar dan moet je ook wel weer met je eigen auto rijden. Dus... over het algemeen regelt transavia dit allemaal en ligt er deels een keuze bij ons.
