One thing I have noticed looking back at these Pop quiz episodes is that the panel always consisted of genuine stars. and people with real talent. This is very differen to modern day shows where the "panel " often consists of celebrities people have hardly heard of. or have a minimal claim to fame.

Love you back oz, it's such a shame about the way humanity has been acting towards each other through history, imagine what we could have achieved if we cooperated with mutual respect , we would have been exploring and using much needed resources from other planets by now , but NO, we use the technology against each other,, through fear (mostly contrived by media, politicians) there is no hope for humanity, the joke will be on us someday, and rest of the Galaxy will be oblivious of our existence, RIP humanity, we had such great potential, shame we used it to get one over on each other.

Marvelous! I wish the States had done something like this, but panel games have been out of vogue here - jumping and screaming contestants winning lots and lots of money very loudly is more the US's style, sadly. :-)

We did in Australia, for about 15 years we had Spicks'n'Specks, named after the last Bee Gees hit here before they went back to UK. Spicks'n'Specks is having a new run now. Very similar to UK, very knowledgeable people and hilarious at times.

So many great musicians didn't take themselves seriously back then. There's no way something like this could ever happen today. Of course, considering today's music, I wouldn't want it to.
