You need to get your hearing checked. This version is awful.

@AC It's mostly the intro. Alot of you must be really salty because of one person's vocals? The intro to the song kicks ass.

I watched a video of this song played live in 1993 i believe and it was soo much better, especially the chorus and the background synth chords towards the end of the song. I wasn't alive when he was in the band, but damn I want Alan Wilder back.

Nothing in this version works. The drummer is drunk and the all vocals are off. Not every live take should be published. This is sub-standard.
@jjviolator4 жыл бұрын
Agree, this is shit. The best live version of this song is the 1993 devotional one. Alan wilder was a musical genius.
@rustypadlock51294 жыл бұрын
So, they reach the point when they cannot sing anymore. Time spares no one.
@jjviolator4 жыл бұрын
They should have quit a long time ago. Music wise they have done nothing significant since Alan wilder left.

@@jjviolator you truly are the dumbest person on the planet. the only albums better than Ultra are MFTM and Di Leva's Rymdblomma.

@@jjviolatorI mean, the band lost a lot of quality after Alan wilder left the band but they could keep doing great music and their performances were so good till the 2013-2014 tour, after that I think they needed to retire, Dave has lost his voice almost completely, seems like he can’t sing anymore and same thing with Martin, I don’t know how’s gonna be their tour next year they are quite old, I went to their concert here in Miami in 2017 and Dave already seemed very tired while singing, it wasn’t a good performance at all.

Where did the Depeche Mode of the 80s go? Where’s Dave’s big smile and actually cute dance moves? Where’s the good keyboards? And where did all this fake arrogance come from? Please, Dave, don’t do this! Why are you yelling something about bullies? And where are your clothes? Please not the punk junk. Where’s the sincerity that was displayed in the first DM live song that I heard (Everything Counts, live in the Pasadena Rose Bowl, CA in 1988)? Depeche Mode, come back!
