Great version, I have an 80's retro show in Australia and I would love you use your version, happy to pay for it. I play the drums live so I wouldn't require the drum track, however if there is an additional percussion that would be great too.

Listening to this, it strikes me just how sparse the arrangement becomes between 2:15 and 2:29. This is the point where the backing singers' harmonies are relied upon to carry the tune. That's not a criticism, by the way; it's an excellent attempt at recreating the backing track as it would have been heard on the original song. I like listening to instrumental versions of songs; I get the opportunity to hear the parts I might have missed when concentrating on the vocals. The four drum sounds are sampled from the beginning of the schizo mix. All synth sounds have been recreated. Made this about 8 years ago now on Reason (probably vers 6.5)

That’s exactly it. A sample-and-hold-y texture played alongside the main sound (same notes). Just find a sample and hold patch similar and get rid of all the low and low-mids. It’s the bit everyone misses out when they do a recreation.

I've listened over 100 times now and I just can't get enough, lol. This is my favourite version, other covers aren't as good and the lyrics are too corny and annoying on the original.
