While I don’t dislike People are People, it’s decidedly not very high on my list of DM faves. This remix is a game changer, which is the best kind of remix, one so good that it makes you reevaluate your enjoyment of the song itself.

Dépêche mode are now embarrassed of all their original work, Gahan has said so in interviews. I have some news lads: that’s the only thing many of us like about you. The last 15 years have been a musical wasteland, nothing more. Try playing more of the 80s stuff at your concerts and give fans more of what they really want. When you play the new crap, the beer queues at the stade de France were huge. No one wanted to listen.
