@@CesareVesdani he isn't talking about Jesus, lol. It's a song alluding to making HIM your savior. Get it, lol? It's actually their way of criticising religion and unbalanced relationships. They read Priscilla Presley's book about her life with Elvis, which was a very toxic and controlling relationship. They wrote this song to expose the danger of worshiping anyone, even within religion. So it ain't actually about Jesus, nor does it support religion at all. Now listen again, knowing the genesis of the song, which I was quoting from Martin Gore.

Depeche Mode is such a great band. What started as an electric pop band really evolved in one of the great rock bands of the last decades. And my God yes what a singular and great voice. I would love your input on the first video of my first album. It got the attention of one of my heroes Joe Bouchard (ex bass player founding members of BÖC) but returns from people who likes same music is always the best.

And [beware the Day] when Allah will say, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, did you say to the people, 'Take me and my mother as deities besides Allah ?'" He will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for me to say that to which I have no right. If I had said it, You would have known it. You know what is within myself, and I do not know what is within Yourself. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen. I said not to them except what You commanded me - to worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. And I was a witness over them as long as I was among them; but when You took me up, You were the Observer over them, and You are, over all things, Witness.
