I love your clear and concise style. But this lesson confused me. You speak about dependency properties being read only and should not be changed after initialization, then immediately proceed to change a button dependency property with your trigger, as though read only, and changeable are not mutually exclusive. I don't get it, are dependency properties read only or not?

Background is not static, but the base class, Control has static readonly DependencyProperties.

I added one depenced property(name of radius) on usercontrol. With sizechanged event I change this dp value. this is ok. But on xaml code Radius depency property doesn't update itself

Employee have the boolean prop isPresent how i could bind it in a cell in a datagridview with a red or green border or ellipse ( green for present red for not present) after i select the employee from a listView

Very good tutorial. Thank you very much for such simple explanation. I just didn't understand part when you said why it has to be readonly. I understand for properties like IsMouseOver, where there is nothing to set, but for things like background don't you set value when you put Teal or something else? Or as i undestood, with that part in XAML you only set normal CLR properties with help from dependency properties, and because dependency properties support change notification background will change each time you change the property?

Dependency proper tie's value should not change after it is initialised, hence it is always read only just like private variables inside normal CLR properties. Properties like Background where value could be set is also a dependency property coz data binding is always done with dependency properties. Remember in data binding target is always a dependency property. Hence Background is always target.

So basically to see dependency properties in more depth.
