so you literally uploaded your sqlite database from your local system onto the Python Anywhere server, along with the data that was already stored in it? I guess that works for sqlite, but most online projects use a non-sql database that you'd have to install on the server and re-populate. It would be helpful if you could mention your thinking re: the database part of this process. also, It's not clear how your Media files are working, since you never connected them in the video shown, but they are all there (the phone pics) in your deployed page. were you just treating them as static files? but I doubt that, since media files are tied to database objects....some clarification here would be very helpful, too. thanks for the video, it was very well paced and easy to follow.

Your explanation is more than wonderful, but I wonder why you didn't add the Media folder. I think there is a part that requires to upload or define the path for media folder as well. Unless it depends on the website and the dynamic flow of it. I had to define it because I am allowing the end users to add, comment, and upload pictures and files into my website. Please elaborate on this point if you can. Thanks a lot. Truly appreciate the amazing explanation brother. you should be a teacher. Best regards.

Thank you, the video was great ! question: you didn't create a database, where did the data from the search come from? was that static data, if so can you pls create a video on migrations on mysql on pythonanywhere and link them to your demo app, thanks
@mihailmarian43896 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback Kunal! The data is indeed static; before starting the deployment process, I had already transferred the data from a CSV file into the website's sqlite database. I will keep in mind your request for the migrations video. It might take a while though since I am now focusing Robotic Process Automation.

Hi Ramisa, I totally recommend deploying your site if you feel it is ready. It will help you better understand the challenges of using Django from start to finish. This page explains very well how to edit your code after deployment: help.pythonanywhere.com/pages/UploadingAndDownloadingFiles/
