I can't stress paying attention to the battery polarity enough. I purchased a similar (but not the same) brand 10000mah battery for my build and the polarity is flipped...requiring me to redo the connector to make sure it won't fry my board. Awesome video though!

@@Pierocksmysocks1 yeah I have a friend that fried his board recently because of a polarity mix up! It’s a mistake you hopefully only make once, but many of us have been there. Thank you!

@@madgearcompany Did the battery from your build list come with the correct polarity out of the box, or did you have to snip and flip? Looking at making a few extra and wanting to source some additional batteries.

@ mine came reversed, and I had to use the paper clip trick to flip them! If you want to see how I did that, check out my covert mesh node video (if you haven’t seen the technique or employed it yet)

I feel that you should specify that a Meshtastic device shouldn’t be run as a repeater unless it’s extremely high up on a tower or something . People just building these and running repeaters will do more harm to the network then help it .
