In current times, most polypharmacy is not due to the use of "potentially-inappropriate medications" but due to the accumulation of drugs prescribed using clinical practice guidelines for common chronic diseases. In this session, we examine the evidence behind the use of guideline-recommended drugs for conditions such as hypertension, dyslipidemia, secondary prevention, and more.
