Depression Era Cookbook- 1933 Boston Baked Beans

I used my 1933 Good Housekeeping cookbook to make Boston Baked Beans. I know this is a fairly common recipe in other parts of the USA, but as a Texan, it is brand new to me.

I live in pork and beans My grandmother used to make them for me and so did my mama they're both gone now and I never knew why they scraped the meet my mama said it's because it will make it tough if you don't scrape it before you cut it and we didn't have an instant pot he just used a regular pot in a bacon dish the handles look just like Mama thank you for showing me the recipe I love it and I will cherish you always
