Yes sandblast with Glaspearls! Very good to get rid of rust and it nearly don't touch the metal

Not necessarily a sand blasting machine but a media blaster so you can use less abrasive materials like walnut shells or hard plastic bb. But yea it would be a great tool to add to the others tools he has like electrolysis, chemical baths, and wire wheels I liked the little shot pean roller and ultrasound cleaner. He’s got a nice set up

Considering the amount of original metal lost on the second pistol, and the fact that it was merely coated with a low temperature jacket of poT metal, and the paint covered a multitude of sins, I am sure that these relics will be put in a honored retirement and never attempted to be fired.

Quite a very tedious and careful restoration. I would have use some kind o metal filler to cover all the pits and make the weapon look better.

Попробуйте на первой половине заготовки, после того как вырезаете профиль клинка, обвести карандашом изнутри размер предполагаемых ножен. Затем просверлить по контуру тонким свёрпышком насквозь. Склеиваете ножны и обводите засверленые отверстия, используя их как точки.Получается контур с наружной стороны.Вырезаете по контуру и гарантировано не портите заготовку ножен.С огромным к Вам и Вашему труду уважением.Удачи Вам.

Those pistols were too far gone to be saved. I would have hot blued instead of painting, but they are only good for decoration so i guess it dont matter.

Also nickel-plating solution was needed. Since nickel-plating solution keeps the gun metal from rusting out again. It was the most trusted solution. Also MC51 rust remover. This revolver has the most amount of rust pockets. Just think of what we don't use anymore.

Yo en tu lugar usaria agua con binagre antes de pasar un sepillo metalico dejaria remojar unos 3 dias cualquier arma asi avlandaria el oxsido luego el sepillo ária sufisiente luego eletrolisus y por ultimo limpiesa con algun limpiacarvuradores y resien ai comensaria a manioular el arma

Very impressive restoration my friend I will admit it has its charm to it being all shiny and deeply pitted and I like that you copied the original handle and that you use flat head screws and not Phillips like most people would do keep up the good work
