Civ’s vehicle: Broken window, bumper, possible airbags went off, and realistically front end would be smashed in with antifreeze spilling everywhere from radiator. Polecat: Are you hurt? Civ: Just my wrist. Role play realism: neck is hurt from whiplash. Possible chest pain from momentum into the seatbelt, multiple cuts from glass.

In my home town in Missouri: some of our Officers are allowed to use their POVs as patrol cars. The only clause if I remember correctly 4-door, and no “walker texas ranger” truck bed for the arrestees!
