Make sure in your comp settings that the 3d renderer is set to "Classic 3D", or you won't be able to enable the "Enable Depth of Field" check box.

For Maya renders/conpositing as well as E3D. I use BCC’s DOF plugin though to minimize the halo on 3D models.

Only your video gave steps which I followed and realize that my Ae does not have the "Enable Depth of Field" box to be checked off or switched on. How do I check off that box if it is inactive?

Hello, I had same problem. I found out you have to have set "Classic 3D" and not any other and then when you open Camera layer, you have all the camera options there.
