I was stationed at Schofield Barracks from 1977 to 1979 as a Helicopter Mechanic with the 347th Transportation Co attached to USACH in the 45th Support Group. Our hangar was at Wheeler AFB. I don’t know what hangar number ours was, but it was the Western most hangar next door to the Base Fire Station. Just exactly as the Colonel and General described, our hangar still had huge holes in the I-beam steel and concrete block walls. The concrete tarmac in from of our hangar on the flight line had numerous bomb craters that had been filled in with concrete. The one thing that was not repaired was the surface chunks of concrete from the blast radius of each bomb. They are in a round star pattern. On many occasion I stood silently and just gazed in awe at the steel and concrete scars realizing that I was standing where WWII started for the USA.

WHY would anyone 'thumbs down' this ??
@136128 жыл бұрын
Because there are those that still hate America and always will.

The thumbs down probably because of no cartoons.

people think america is a deeply raciest and sexiest country. even though the first African american to get the navy cross got his cross on this day just as the first female purple heart recipient did.

We make memory of those who died on Pearl Harbor, but are living on us for ever; we make memory of what is honor and hate felony. We try, by those we remember, the lesson of how sacrifice, why, for. We try by them the teaching no borders exist on offering and serve, as also death may never stop us on. It is why, other than remember, we thanks those buddies we bring our hands to, for make ever more strong our commitment

GOOD BLESS!

Please acccept my apologies, but I have spent my WHOLE life conditioned to oppose the Military. On this day, February 3rd, 2017, I declare that the Military and the American People have NOTHING to apologise for. Yes, I ended my sentance with a preposition but SO WHAT!!!
