Amazing how through the power of their musicianship these guys transform a basically light-hearted waltz into a soulful, beautifully yearning masterpiece. I think that I'm in love with all five of them ...

Thank you for this exquisite performance. I knew this piece in Brahms's arrangement for piano solo, but the text--sung by wonderful singers--adds a whole other dimension of beauty. And how interesting it is that for the solo vocal setting of the same text, Brahms creates completely different music.

ótimo, Brahms ficaria feliz, o vídeo mostra a alegria dos cantores no som e no texto; você só pode ter inveja de poder cantar nesse quarteto, com uma memória duradoura para a vida.

Brahms simply felt the music on another realm of reality.

The moon shines down, So I should set out Again to my love, How is she, I wonder? Alas, she’s despairing And lamenting, lamenting She’ll never see Me again in her life! The moon went down, But I hurried off happily, Hurried so that no one Should steal my love. Keep cooing, you doves, Keep whispering, you breezes, So that no one Should steal my love!
