So my question is . Since you went through the trouble of knocking out the old weight parts out do you install the T part to all 4 of them and new ones in? Then checking the test with those threaded weights that you took out after and said it did better on low end. Could you have just removed the old threaded weights and checked it before spending the $400 ? I don't know, bro. I'm just asking because I'm not familiar with cf clutches is why I'm asking
@DerangedOffRoad3 ай бұрын
The stock weights on the KRX don’t have adjustable screws. That why I needed to install the new custom weights that do. You can add weights to all four or just two depending on what you want. The weight itself might be good enough as well because it has a different profile and weight to it. -Garrett

It cured about 1/3 to 1/2 of the slow-off-the-line backshift issue that I hate, but I mainly noticed that it's now super fun to "point and shoot" when on fun, twisty trails. When you back off the throttle to enter the turn, and roll back on it, it spins up MUCH faster. I can actually steer with the throttle now (in 4WD!). Super fun.

So honestly it’s what you want it to be. You can adjust for better take off and throttle response from zero to sixty. Or you can adjust so after hitting say 30 rpm can fall off but you won’t have the power like before. That’s the great part about this kit, you can adjust for what you want out of it. Everyone has a different riding style and wants different things. This kit can give that to you. -Garrett

I'd say that at least 95% of my riding is in the 0-20 mph range. Not sure if my butt dyno would feel a .2 second 0-20 increase. Maybe there is a more noticeable performance gain over stock if you have oversized tires on? Guess it's time for you to step up a size or two Garrett... :) C'mon man Also curious if running with just two of the four weights could have any negative affect over time?
@DerangedOffRoad4 жыл бұрын

@peterkueffner7474 жыл бұрын
A clutch kit technically does not make power. It is a way to fine tune the way your transmission shifts to deliver the power. Also helps with belt life when going with big tires.
@boblaws98514 жыл бұрын
@@peterkueffner747 Yep, I know what a clutch kit does. That's why I call it performance gain, not power gain. My point was for rock crawling and typical speeds below 20 mph, I don't know that I would notice any advantage with $350 worth of clutch weights. As for belt life, that appears to be a non-issue with the KRX. With so many guys running 35" tires, I really haven't heard of anyone burning their belt. Huge kudos to Kawasaki for that. I know Polaris and Canam have a tough time with belt life trying to run 30"-32" tires. Hell, even the 29" OEM setups like to burn belts if you aren't careful with them.

Guys - I know you said that all runs were on the same road going the same direction but your stock run shows going uphill and all your runs with the kit installed were going downhill - I'm sure you can see how this might look like you were trying to sell clutch kits. Does the measuring device use GPS satellites to determine elevation? Did you do the stock run on a different day so that you locked onto different satellites? My GPS is easily +- 500 feet when it comes to elevation depending on how many satellites it can see at any given time and that may explain the difference.
