If you at Osmaston Park on Google Earth etc there is clump of trees with a clear part in the centre of them, that is where i remember the crater being

Glad you liked it. The Travellers Rest pub (185 Ashbourne Rd) does not look like its closed, The sign is a "For Lease" sign.

Looking at google maps it was definately Osmaston Park, I dont think it was all that far back from the road, I remember on more than one occasion when slideing down coming off and going into the nettles, lol

Osmaston Park Road look different to 50/60s, I dont know if its still there, but there used to be a park area with a massive crater that we used to slide down into on bits of tin. I dont know if it was a bomb crater from the war or not

Bought me some tears! Having lived in derby for three years. Couldn't believe that start of film, Ashbourne Rd, where i lived! I have noticed that travellers rest pub put up for sale sign and is it closed?

I wish the video was a little slower so that I could see what is going on. A good idea though and I recon I will have a go at this kinda thing. Ron

Great Videos Andy, but I wish they were a bit slower, I do try and pick out spots that I recognize but it doesn't always work, is it possible to slow the file down?

Thanks, ah well I made this video 13 years ago ! and back then I ddint have fast broadband so had to speed videos up to make them smaller files.

Was that Osmaston Park? OR the area thats now Sainsburys? or perhaps the Barracks?
