Greatest visual performance in all eurovision’s history.
@Asa...S3 жыл бұрын
Some of the visuals weren´t very attractive though, like him lying on his back 3:06 with his feet up in the air, it looked like a super weird pose. Or when he didn´t understand that he had to lift up his arms higher so the shadow would be in the wings and not below it (1:45 and 1:52). Also the visuals seemed pretty random and didn´t seemed to have much to do with the song. Random wings, random climbing, random lying on his back with feet up in the air.
@Asa...S3 жыл бұрын
@Vladislav Dubov Then he should have made sure it looked like wings by positioning his arms right. Really stupid to do like he did with his arms, if wings had a meaning to him.

Sergei is actually one of the best vocalists in the country. He's pitch-perfect and sings live even better than on the recording where they auto-tune him for no reason. I've been to his show and it was incredible. I don't like how he has to be fake and pretend to be straight and lie in the interviews all the time (he's also an actor, so there's that), I can't connect to his songs lyrically, but in terms of the vocals and quality of his concerts he's the best. P.S. What's with the video you used? It's out of sync.

I do love me some Sergey, have seen him perform live as well. He does know how to put on a show. And yet, that is not enough to win. There has to be that extra je-ne-sais-qua. But, to be fair, you don't have to be a winner to get into Eurovision Hall of fame.

The steps and supports were pushed out of the wall, but the difficulty was that the image on the wall was superimposed from the projector, including the image of the performer himself, so he was in black, and he had to move synchronously, otherwise we would get a split.

Russia, my second favourite performance (after Ukraine, but before Australia) - in 2016... According to the judges+the public's votes, he was the 3rd, but according to the public's votes only, he was the 1st!!! This is a big problem (not regarding that year, but in general) of Eurovision and EBU (European Broadcasters Union): if I vote in the Final (paying money), but my vote counts only 50% (the other 50% is given by a bounch of juries from all the participant countries), why should I vote for? So, my money is good, but my musical judgement is not... My oppinion is to let those bounches of juries (and the public) to give their votes in the Semi (making a Selection of the best songs, lyrics...) and let the public only to give the votes in the Final. Coming back to Sergey, in"dissection" 🤓: I liked more the voice and the song of Jamala ("Ukraine") than Sergey's (I am comparing now a man's voice with a woman's one 😂), but I liked more Sergey's staging... Overall, Jamala got the 1st place in my heart (Eurovision is a "Song" contest...). But you should know that most of viewers judges a performance according to the: song, voice, staging, lyrics, sometimes singer's charisma... Now, I expect you to react also to the Americans' performances from the 21st of February, next year, since an American Broadcaster (I can not remember which) joined and paid taxes to EBU (European Broadcasters Union), for having the rights of organizing and broadcasting an American Song Contest. I can't wait to see 50 states from the USA competing one against other for being no.1. And I think your no.1 will compete or will be invited to join to Eurovision on the 10th-12th of May (in the Semifinals) or on the 14th of May 2022 (in the Final). Greetings from Romania! 🇷🇴

@gabrielaispas51423 жыл бұрын
@@sanarachid8796 Maneskin... For sure they have the vibe of a nonconformist and talented band... They have the look, the style... But, despite all these things, I didn't see them as winners, just in top 5. But, you know, they won bc. of the points coming from the public (not from the jury), so I respect the public' choise! If we all pay money on voting, our votes should count - I don't care who is the winner!!! It's a result of summing the votes - it doesn't matter who voted for whom... For ex. I voted for Switzerland. Overall, I was glad for Italy, that had a great year in 2021, winning Eurovision and the Football European Championship - after Covid hard times and so many tragedies. Italy is a beautiful country (I visited only Milano and Como Lake 🤓) and It will be great for hosting Eurovision in 2022!

On the night this wasn’t the better song, the song felt empty, yes the rhythm was upbeat but it was like a nice looking soup that just had no flavour. The video for the song already had a load of visual fx so really it had already been done, yes it still looks impressive but not original, just more of the same. The winner on the other hand was full of power and emotion and a great set design. So it did deserve to win. What gets Russians salty is the mention of an aggressor in the Ukrainian song which most assume to be Russia from the past, I don’t know the history well so not sure if it could mean more than just one country or force, maybe? Considering Russia had or was just about to invade Ukraine you can see the awkward things that can be drawn from that but it’s never explicit;y said, so it passed the checks. Being upfront I voted for Ukraine nothing to do with it politically or because of anything that happened purely because it was powerfully sang and performed and it just felt like a winner, that all, absolutely honest in that. I’m also not against Russia, the show they hosted in Moscow was one of the best ever, truly stunning and lots of original artistic ideas, loved it. Also when two Russian performers were boo’ed I thought that was disgusting and the audience should be ashamed, that was not in the spirit of the competition.
@Rik773 жыл бұрын
I agree he's not a great vocalist, and yes that and the song being fairly ordinary is why it didn't win. Its a fun bop to sing along too. I think the only reason it did as well as it did was because of the visual presentation. The song has becone a eurovision classic, but that's because its a fun easy to sing along song.
