I feel you. I'm just saying that most rap today only raps about the same 5 subjects over and over. Sex/objectification, drugs, materialism, violence and bravado. Especially today's trap style rap with rappers with names like Young So and So or Lil Whats His Face. There is some deeper rap out there, you just have to search a little deeper. Like finding good movies in the Walmart bargain bin. They're in there but you have to dig through a bunch of wack junk to find em. lol

Sonicly it is. 808 drums, rolling hi hats, 808 kick doubling as a bass line. Triplet and pause rhyme scheme, Crunk ad-lib to fill in the paused spaces. Haunting synth melody , etc . It check a lot of the boxes.

I understand he may have wanted to share what the struggle is like and Yes there is truth in it, and I agree society can be cold, but where's the Hope? It's almost like an excuse to do wrong to survive, "it is, what it is". We will all still be held accountable regardless of our circumstances. We can do all things through Christ and that includes seeking out a better way. I do pray for our society and the poor and the ppl being killed 😔
