Got a kinda funny one from back in highschool JROTC. Every Wednesday we had to stand at attention in uniform while an instructor walked along the rows inspecting everyone. Early on we were grading on posture and had to do push ups if we made a mistake. I dunno what i did wrong but the instructor was yelling at me on my blind side and i was just standing there oblivious. He didn't know our names yet so it was "you" this and "you" that. Internally it went from "whoever he's yelling at better swallow their pride and do the pushups" to "wait is he yelling at me?" I was in the middle of the row and with how close together we all were he could have been yelling at someone 1-2 people to the right for all i knew. Didn't wanna look over just in case so stood there motionless while he yelled for what felt like a full minute. Eventually he stepped away and whispered something to another instructor before moving on down the row. Got treated like i was slow throughout my time there and i'm sure situations like that didn't help. Still funny though.

You guys are so awesome. It means so much to me that you are doing this… I can write a whole list of events about all of these feelings and then some…

I am so greatful for all that you both do as well as other influencers to try to help, encourage, support, and educate others on vision loss and supporting those of us with vision loss. Thank you for all that you do!

I loved this video it’s so true with the different emotions I had thought about a lot of my own stories like the time someone stole my white cane on our light rail system that was before I got my guide dog now Maui is my first guide dog and that comes with it’s own set of emotions

Great episode. I was concerned when I first read the title. I thought this may be a really sad episode. I am glad to be wrong. I struggle myself with not wanting to be a burden. I like your advice on that.

Yeah, I guess it was a little click bait! haha...Being grateful over being a burden is so important. Thanks for sharing!

Oh believe it -- try being a multipli-disabled single female, living alone who has been horribly taken advantage BADLY AND CRUELLY by almost every contractor and other unscrupulous persons and companies. Even worse is those who claim to be Christian; one of the worst guys showed up with the Christian 'fish' emblem on the side of his truck. I've never had an April to step in as a buffer or even be my eyes.
