I remain sensitive to the effect of Christian music and I am constantly checking with the Holy Spirit to ensure that I do not unknowingly release demons over myself through any Christian music. I have had attacks from the spirit of lust from listening to Christian music from some groups. May we grow in the gift of the discerning of spirits, as we are in the end times and the deception will only increase and become more subtle so that even the elect are deceived (Matthew 24:24).

It was written by a person who when asked who the “you” was, he said it is whoever you want it to be. It is not a Christian song, never mentions the name God, and is equally sung in gay pride parades as well as in church. Something about that doesn’t sit well in my spirit.

I think what he’s trying to say is that music used for worship should not focus on us having a good time and getting blessings. Not all “soulish” music is bad, it has different purposes. It’s not wrong to make a song about something other than God, it’s a form of storytelling that’s been a part of human society since the dawn of time. (The “greatest of songs” in the Bible is about sex, after all.) But music used for “sacred” purposes should be distinct. I work as a cleaner in a very worldly environment with loud music like a disco and yes, it sounds crass and hypnotic, like it’s a form of mind control with pop music. When we try to make our church worship services sound like that-like rock concerts with colored lights and dark interiors, loud speakers blasting repetitive emotional lyrics, asking for God to come down and touch us, make us feel something, make my heart pound, set me on fire, etc, that’s getting into the soulish realm . So I totally agree with this message.

We call them 7/11 Songs; The same 7 words, sung eleven times in a row. I can see how that could be tied to the same style as that of a mantra, or repetition to the point that it drones out true worship. There is a lot of "Me, me, me" and "I, I, I" in worship songs today. I miss lyrics that tied to the esoteric, adding to the mystery and awe of The Lord, and which also had good eschatology. Now we have music that sounds like a skipping record. What happened to the depth of the Hymns? I will admit, my addiction is in Orthodox Monastic singing. It gives for good contemplation. It is sad to not find good Spirit seeking sound in a lot of churches today, who wish to be nothing more than "hip".

No one really knows the depth of depravity they fell into while being apart of the world. Only God knows. Deliverance can be instant with some things. Other things may take a while to get rid of. It depends on the person. Some people sinned harder than others in certain aspects of life. Don't be so quick to write someone off just because you were able to easily lay something down vs someone else in that same category. That just may be the deep stronghold governed by the strongman in that person's life they have to continually war against til those chains are broken. I waited 6 years til God delivered me from one of my problems. We have to continually pray for the strength of people to be built up in the inner man. Since the Lord wants us to love Him with our soul also, I don't see a conflict with involving our soul in Church with music at times. Just as the devil knows how to use music to stir up people for his purposes, it's an imitation or perversion of God's ways. So if it had that kind of effect in African cultures for satanic stuff, it must mean that music can also lead our soul towards being focused on the Holy Spirit and be moved by Him. I have truly given this channel many chances and I always end up turning off halfway due to background music. This recording also sounds like AI or fake. The Trumpets mentioned in the Book of Revelation are not literal Trumpets, but the Voice from the Spirit of GOD. John said in Revelation 4:1 that he heared the first voice speaking with him like a Trumpet. And when he heared it, immediately he was in the Spirit and he saw the Throne of GOD. The Trumpets in these last last days are blown by the four witnesses (two olive trees and two lampstands) of GOD. They are the seven or complete angels who were given by GOD the Trumpets, His Words or His Voice, to be blown in these last last days. And only a third of the earth will hear His Voice or will hear the sound of the Trumpets. These Trumpets are speaking to the lost sons of GOD, a third part, and when they heared and follow the sound of the Trumpets, they will see the FATHER, not physically but thru His Words. A third part is mentioned in the first four Trumpets in Revelation 8 and this is the remnant of GOD who will be affected with the Trumpets that are blown by the four witnesses of GOD. This third part is not a literal one-third of the world population, but it represents the remnant of GOD. Just like the physical Israel, how small are their population compared to the population of the whole world. This is also the same with the remnant of GOD which is very very small in number compared to Babylon, the bodies who are ruled by the voice of the flesh (beast).
