She was all over the place during this interrogation. The tone of her voice was like she was reading her kid to sleep. Then she would randomly get aggressive, cuss, plead, and then get accusatory. It was just all over the place and Rocky clearly picked up on the messiness and inconsistency of her tactics. Hopefully that day was just a bad day for her and she's better than this
@MrVuckFiacom4 жыл бұрын
It was very messy. She understood the correct tactics to use, but at the wrong times. And also neglected to use some tactics like the famous "awkward silence to confess" Derek explained very well. However, I'm glad both you and Derek recognize that we shouldn't judge someone's entire career and life on one bad day. It's still good that her interrogation flaws were pointed out so it can better help future investigators on what _not_ to do, but some people here are going too hard on her saying she should be fired immediately. Some people need to remember they already have sufficient evidence and aren't letting a murderer on the loose regardless of the interrogation's outcome. Most interrogations are just to make the process quicker and prevent more legal headaches than it is deciding whether someone is going to jail or not. As Derek mentioned, she has been on the force for a long time so it must mean she had multiple successful investigations in the past. But who knows, maybe she really is incompetent and they just like to have her around for years because they like her and cops do protect eachother 😂 My personal opinion is we simply don't have enough evidence from other sources to judge whether she is fit for the job but she certainly messed up in this instance. But if this was a common occurrence, I'd definitely fire her or re-train her at the very least.

@dycedargselderbrother53534 жыл бұрын
Maybe, but there seems to be a difference in misapplication of tactics and a fundamentally wrong approach. I mean, the submissive begging was beyond having a bad day. The standard approach for an ineffective interrogation is to start again with someone else, maybe coming back in later for additional pressure, but she just kept whining and begging. I think she should have recognized her ineffectiveness in the first few minutes and switched out; that would be "don't judge career based on single day" tier.
