My wife suffers from mental health issues. This song means so much to me because the lyrics resonate with me. When I look at her, these are the things I think to myself. “I see the beauty that you can’t see” - incredible. I love her so much and when she’s having a bad day, she doesn’t see herself like I do. Authentic, original and how the songs change and develop with those instrumentals together with his gravelly voice, it touches the heart. Listening through the album is somewhat of a spiritual experience, moving out of the mundane into peace and love. And we need a lot of that right now. Nice one Dermot ❤️

Theres no doubt that his songs are healing. I tried to explain it to a friend, only one of many things he didnt understand, that the sentimental songs arent always about love or breakups. I never analysed this song before today, I just had the sense that this song speaks what my father would have sung to me. He passed away from alcohol related damages seven years ago. He was in such a bad state the last twenty years of his life that he was unrecognisable. He never saw who I was, he never saw my beauty, he was never there for me. With this song I feel that he is telling me that he is out there somewhere.
