Nice dude, always dig your videos. What's your gear setup looking like?
@Medvez2 жыл бұрын
Thanks buddy! American Deluxe Strat (replaced with a 70s maple neck after my truss rod broke), dimarzio cruiser pickups (wired out of phase), into a boss DS1, dunlop crybaby wah, holy grail reverb, fender deluxe reverb. I have a shure sm58 picking up the sound into logic. I coincidentally had the same gear as Speer lol, the only thing I really had to do was swap the original pickups out. Very happy with the sound - although I'm sure some compression and his el capistan would help ;)

Get the Capistan if you can! It's a very rich, clean and versatile effect device. It's so much fun to steer into the dub territory with a volume pedal controlling the clean/delay mix. 😉

Another amazing cover. Do you figure this all out by ear? Or did you watch the pitchfork performance closely? I've been trying to learn guitar for about a year and would love any tips for a beginner.

Thanks! I've been playing since I was a kid so most of my learning is done by ear and just knowing where the major & minor scales / chords are in every position across the neck in every key (not as hard as it sounds). If you spend the time to master that, and you listen to a song a couple of times and capture/understand the feel of the guitarist, you become less reliant on tabs and tutorials Not to say that Mark's playing doesn't blow my mind (it does). For the harder parts I take a look a live videos to see where he's playing, then work backwards and figure out the runs/notes based on the scales they fall within!

Nice same pickups as on Mark's Strat
